Money Rocks Park From New Holland: Take Route 23 East to Route 322 East. Turn right and follow Route 322 East for four miles to Narvon Road. Take a right onto Narvon Road for one mile. The parking lot is on the right, across from Alexander Drive.  A relatively new park, located in a way northeastern Lancaster county.   Surprisingly rocky in sections, terrific vistas, terrif story on why the name is the name.

Mt. Gretna – Traveling from Lancaster City involves following Route 72 North thru Manheim, turning left on Pinch Road: cross the turnpike, go into the woods, & the State Game lands parking lot will be on the left.   Located in rather southern Lebanon County, pretty forests, horseshoe trail passes thru.  Beware though, Gretna addiction is difficult to cure.   A few trails have been bulldozed to make way for what some call, progress.

Lock 2 (not to be confused with Lock 12). Look at these directions to Shank's Mare. Basically: Rt 30 to 441 south, 462 West to Wrightsville, immediately after bridge, 624 south, 624 south proceed 5.2 miles to stop sign, bear left on Long Level Rd (stay on this closest to the river road) see the Shank's Mare store on right, proceed to the end of the road, you'll see a small bridge, park just before the bridge. Lock 12 Easiest way is to get to the 272/372 intersection at the Buck. Go west on 372 all the way to the Norman Wood Bridge (crosses Susquehanna River). Cross bridge and turn at immediate right onto dirt road. Proceed 1/4 mile to parking lot on right. This will be the 2nd parking lot just along the dirt road. See number 14 on this map.

Chiques or Chickies – Route 30 to the Columbia/Marietta exit. Turn right off the 30 Exit and drive to the top of the hill – BreezyView lot will be at the top of the hill on your left.  Very accessible trails beginning high above the river with steep descents.

Turkey Hill Trail (directions lifted from the Conservancy site) Take PA. Route 999 (Blue Rock Road) west to River Road in Washington Boro. Go to the southern trailhead continue on River Road by passing the parking area for the northern trailhead, up the hill turn left (go past the dairy) & stay on River Road. After about ¼ mile, the road curves to the left, but be sure to continue on River Road which curves to the right. Continue until you come to the Highville fire station on the right, turn into the fire station lot and drive behind the firehouse and park in the Manor Township Park parking lot. To access the trail, follow the fence line keeping it on your right. When you reach the far side of the landfill and start heading down hill look for the yellow flagging going into the woods on the left.

Brickerville/Rt 322 Pumping Station Road From the intersection of routes 501 & 322, drive west on PA route 322 about 2.2 miles, parking area is on immediate right and is visible from the road. Trails? Enough to keep your busy for a while... The Horseshoe Trail comes from the east and proceeds west, look for the yellow blazes just east of the parking lot. The northern terminus of the Conestoga Trail is just across rt 322 on Pumping Station road, look for salmon/orange/reddish blazes. State Game Land area # 156 and the Lancaster county Conservancy's Rannels-Kettle Run Nature Preserve are accessible from the Horseshoe trail (proceeding west from the parking lot).
