Saturday Summer Camping Series!
In the summer we travel a bit farther for our Saturday runs and make a weekend out of it with camping! We're outlining the dates and locations for now and we'll send out more details as needed. If you have any questions, feel free to email Ashley at ashleystalnecker@gmail.com.
May 16-18: Shenandoah National Park (Old Rag hike)
June 13-15: Hickory Run State Park
Campground Location: Albrightsville, PA 18210, Route 534, Lat/Long 41.026996, -75.679722 (Organized Group Tenting Campground, Site L)
Group run will be at 9 a.m. Saturday. Trip organizer: Matt Rutherford (more info to follow)
July 4-6: Asaph (near Colton Point)

August 8-10 Eastern States, Little Pine State Forest:

The Details
The Summer Series has camping available for each location, with club members often staying the entire weekend and camping together.
On the run, the group breaks up based on pace and spends about two hours on the trails.
Runners and hikers of all abilities are welcome!
Being Prepared
Long trail runs and hikes require preparation, especially for days with extreme weather. For the longer trail runs be sure to pack the following:
- Water and/or squeeze filter
- Food, ~200 calories per hour
- Sunscreen and sun protection
- Allergy meds (e.g. epi-pen)
- Map and/or phone with downloaded map
